I am so excited to discuss my upcoming art exhibition as part of the many art events in Cape Town. Join me as I explore my capabilities as an ongoing student and learner of art.

I recently spent some time in Italy where I attended some amazing workshops alongside the extremely talented watercolour artist, Marcos Beccari.

During the workshop, I learned so many new things which encouraged me to expand my artistic horizons by moving away from my signature style.

Art Events in Cape Town

I believe as an artist that there is always something new to learn and through developing new skills, I am able to apply what I have learned to a number of different styles.

Although I will always have a deep love for the landscapes of South Africa, I am now focusing my efforts towards other subject matters which include nude work, live artists and the movement of water.

Upcoming Exhibitions in Cape Town 2019

In celebration of this exciting expansion and ever-growing journey of art and life, I will be hosting an exhibition to showcase my latest work.

Using only single sheets of paper, I aim to express the simplicity that comes with the gentle medium of watercolour.

With an abstract approach, this collection has allowed me to step boldly out of my comfort zone in order to reinvent my love for colourful expression.

Watercolour Art Exhibitions in Cape Town – South African Artists

Starting in November, my exhibition will run for two months, ending in January 2020 and will include colourful African art, as well as pieces inspired by the beautiful people and places of Italy.

In addition to my work, David Francois Rabie, an upcoming South African Artist will be displaying some of his incredibly beautiful pen and ink works.

His style includes fine lines and abstract strokes which embody every aspect of his subject, provoking thought, nostalgia and emotion.

I am extremely honoured to be sharing this exhibition with David where we will bring together both ends of the colour spectrum in a mesmerising collaboration of artistic expression.

South African Artists Giving Back

In my ongoing mission to give back, I have chosen to give a percentage of the exhibition proceeds to Miracle Mission, a care facility for abandoned babies and babies who are living with HIV.

Opening Night with Robyn-Leigh Cedras

Robyn-Leigh has a particular interest in the impact of culture and heritage on our society, especially having worked with the Iziko Museums of South Africa.
